The Interlibrary Loan Code for the United States defines this service as "... the process by which a library requests material from, or supplies material to, another library. The purpose of interlibrary loan as defined by this code is to obtain, upon request of a library user, material not available in the user's local library."

To place an ILL

First, please verify if the resource is available at one of our collections on Horizon Information Portal.

If your request is a journal article, please verify the bibliographic information in PubMed.

Write down on the formulary the PMID number from the PubMed, and as much information as you can.

If you want a book loan, verify if it is available at the National Library of Medicine via LocatorPlus. Write the NLM Unique ID number and as much information as you have available.
